QuickTypist allows a secretary (or yourself) to easily correct the small number of mistakes (approximately 2% to 3%) made when an user (the Author of documents) dictates to Dragon NaturallySpeaking. This is done by comparing the voice recording of the Author with the text automatically generated by the recognition engine, when the secretary presses a foot pedal.

Additionally, QuickTypist also allows to transcribe (and correct) any voice recording generated with virtually any recording application or digital recording device out of the office (digital recorder, Pocket PC, Palm PDA, Sony Clié, MP3 recorder and even Smartphone!). Corrections introduced by the secretary in the transcription could also be used to improve the Author "Speech files" for further accuracy in the recognition process.

QuickTypistWith QuickTypist the Author concentrates exclusively in dictation, inside or outside of his office, while the secretary takes care of all the other somehow "painful" aspects of speech recognition (proofreading, editing, correction of misrecognitions and improvement of "Speech files", etc.). QuickTypist deploys its full potential with the Professional version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, but it is also compatible with the Preferred one only for the transcription of voice recordings.
